Schurrtop Wins Max Fulscher Award
Schurrtop had great success at the recent 2004 Great Western Beef Expo, Sterling, CO. A set of pure bred Charolais Steers sired by the calving ease and performance great Schurrtop 5627 2201 graded 100% Choice and all had a Yield Grade 2 to give them the prestigious Max Fulscher award. This same set of steers were Grand Champion over all breeds in the Carcass Price per/lb. division.
Stealing the show the duration of the test were a set of purebred /smokey steers sired by Schurrtop Genetic Edge. This group led the way in the Feed Efficiency division the majority of the contest just to be edged out at the end to give them Res. Champion Over All Breeds.
These two pens also placed 1st and 2nd in the Charolais Division - Net Return Overall.
