Schurrtop Places At Beef Empire Days
Schurrtop Angus & Charolais had good success at the 2003 BEEF EMPIRE DAYS in Garden City, KS. Claiming the Res. Grand Champion prize in the carcass division was a home raised purebred Angus heifer sired by the all around carcass sire Schurr 77 Excel. She graded Prime and had a Yield Grade of 2.6 to give her the prestigious award.
Schurrtop had other success in the show with a heifer placing 4th and a steer placing 8th in the carcass show along with a heifer placing 4th in the live show division. All were home raised cattle that graded Choice with Yield Grade 2 carcasses. There were over 200 entries in the contest from some of the largest feed yards in the mid-west.
