SCHURRTOP Wins Beef Empire Days

Schurrtop Angus & Charolais received top honors at the 2002 Beef Empire Days in Garden City, KS. Claiming the Grand Champion prize overall and receiving the Brookover Award was a home raised Angus heifer sired by the maternal and carcass bull SCHURRTOP CVAF 9999 "CHIPPEWA". The heifer placed 11th in the live division and 1st in the carcass division to give her the top award.
Schurrtop had other success in the carcass show having a steer place 9th and a heifer place 10th overall. These cattle too were home raised Angus and sired by Schurrtop bulls. There were 200 entries in the show from some of the largest feedlots in the mid-west.
The cattle were fed at Bar 77 Feed Yard of Maywood, NE which is operated by Marty and Wayne Schurr.
